How does the smoke actually flow downward?+
You use special backflow dhoop cones (they have a hollow channel running through the middle). When lit, the smoke is heavier than regular incense smoke, so it sinks instead of rising. It flows down through the top opening, into the glass chamber, and cascades around the Shivling like a waterfall.
Are backflow cones included?+
Backflow cones are sold separately. Any standard backflow dhoop cone from the market will work — you'll find them online and at most agarbatti shops. Regular incense sticks or plain dhoop will not produce the waterfall effect.
Is it fragile? Will it survive shipping?+
The ceramic lotus base is solid and durable. The glass chamber is thick and packed with cushioning for transit. We ship every order in protective packaging — and if anything reaches you damaged, our 7-day return window has you covered.
How do I clean it after use?+
Wait for it to cool fully. Empty the ash from the base. Wipe the glass chamber with a dry soft cloth — or a slightly damp cloth for stubborn residue. Do not use harsh chemicals on the ceramic finish.
Does it come with the Shivling inside, or do I add one?+
The Shivling is built into the base of the fountain — you don't need to buy or place a separate Lingam. The fountain arrives complete and ready to use as soon as you have a backflow cone.
